I've gotten over $200 in cash back from them at places I would have shopped anyway! Ebay, Staples, more! I put it at the top because they ROCK. Basically, you get a kickback from Ebates when buy.com or whoever pays them. Win-win. If you like throwing money away, don't use them!

How do they make those fake news websites look real?

I saw this posted by a friend of mine:

http://abcnews.com.co/obama-executive-order-bans-pledge-of-allegiance-in-schools/

Don't visit it because it's fake and I'm not going to send them any traffic.

(Visit AMAMzin.com for me if you shop at Amazon. Shameless plug.)

The reason it LOOKS real is because .com and .co are legitimate commercial domains.

But there's a trick here.

The domain name is really COM.co and abcnews is what's called a machine name, which would direct you in the old early internet days to a specific computer at COM.co

Nowadays, that would probably just point to a virtual server or site hosted on such a setup but I digress.

abcnews.COM (without the .co) is redirected to abcnews.go.com so even THAT isn't used.

What's that you say?

You'll shop at AMAMzin.com for Amazon purchases and support theroblog.com so I have some income and time to write these articles?

Thank you!
