The sandy bun

The sandy bun

Burger King Grilled Chicken Sandwich. Why do they put that sort of a ground corn 'sand' on the bun? It's the same stuff Little Caesar's has/had on the bottom of their pizza. I don't think it's a necessary item for either food. Overall, it detracts, quite frankly. IIRC, the bread itself on the sesame seed bun tastes better too. A chicken breast is not the ideal meat for a sandwich anyway. It's got that tough sort of cartilege thing in it that you bite and then look like an idiot while you sort of push/pull/bite trying to keep the sandwich together. I would like ground chicken or turkey. Why doesn't anyone in fast food have that? I think next time I'll 'have it my way' and ask for the sesame seed bun at least. Dare I? Dare. DARE!

What would be really great, while we're on the subject of things that shall be denied me, I'd also like onion rings at McDonald's. Think of it! A Big Mac with onion rings! Well, McD did recently add a 32 oz SWEET TEA for a buck! They got that right.

I was reading this weblog and found this. The viagra ring. I. Kid. You. Not. A ring (pinky?) with room for a single Viagra pill. Again, for the record, it found me, I didn't find it.

Real? I didn't stick around long enough to find out. If it ain't it probably will soon be. Get back to me on that.

The daily bit of spooooooky

For those so inclined, your daily bit of whatever you'd like to call it. It's better press probably if I call it a spirit orb or something like that, but that's just not me. But we can say:

1. I didn't put it there.
2. It is some sort of anomaly.
3. 'Floating'
4. Above a convent.

Discuss amongst yourselves.

Ok, here's a bit of a ramble.

So what do folks look for in a blog these days? Insightful reviews? Recipes? Trashy Hollywood gossip? Humorous political commentary? (Since satire is dead according to a Simpsons episode I saw, one of the Halloween ones.) Any comments? Is this thing on?

What's up with Stephen Colbert's ear? “I had this weird tumor as a kid, and they scooped it out with a melon baller.” In case you were curious.

Coming tomorrow maybe: More goofball kid pics. You want that other stuff, you go elsewhere. Hey, I hear there's a living to be made regurgitating other peoples' work. I like to think for myself as sort of an aggregator. The RSS feed behind the RSS feed, if you grep the geek stuff.

Taken at T40, McGeeHee's fly in catfish restaurant. It's not for the underpowered plane or inexpereienced pilot, and it's hard to find but great eating less than an hour's flight from Oklahoma City. In a 182 it's pretty easy.

Venture Brothers

You'll get it, or you won't. TiVo caught last night's episodes (last show from season 1 and season 2 opener), and I'm sure s2e1 is on a bittorrent somewhere by now. Also the DVD is out. Below is the first bit of the season 2 opener.
