Recipe of the day

This one's real simple. Get some chopped pecans, pretzels, peppermint, etc. Toast it if it's a nut or a toastable item at about 300 degrees F for about 10-15 minutes. Use more or less heat or time if you like. I prefer lower heat over a longer time.

Then get a cheese grater like this:

Grate some chocolate, almond bark, cheese, etc. over the top of your desired item. Put it in the oven at about 400F. Bake until it's melted. You can also broil it a bit if you want it more caramelized.

In the above example, it's pecans and white almond bark. The melted bark holds the pecans. It's good eatin', fun and easy.

I recommend a CONVECTION toaster oven for reheating pizza, french fries, (You do bring those home from the restaurant don't you? You did pay for them.) and baking small items. It's the oven equivalent of a microwave, guys. And it uses a lot less electricity and doesn't heat up the kitchen in summer.
