HP Mini 311 Webcam Drivers for Windows 7 Solved

I got a refurb 311 with a fresh install and the webcam wouldn't work. Skype and other programs didn't see it.

I looked and if it's on HP's site, it isn't obvious.

So, long story short, do all the Windows Updates, and then uninstall the webcam.

It will now install a driver and work, if it goes like mine.

The big clue was in Device Manager, it said 'No driver Installed' but it didn't have the traditional yellow exclamation point.

Hey i had the same problem as you i did your way by unistalling it but it did not instal a driver to replace it now i cant find the webcam at all.

is there a step im missing?

Use the 'Scan for Hardware Changes' and it should see and install a driver.
