Fiat 500e Lease Returns are CHEAP on Ebay
Under $10,000 in almost all cases. I think at this price, you can justify it as an 'extra' vehicle based on the gas savings alone.
I think the prices will increase somewhat over time.
Benefits:
-recharges twice as fast as Nissan Leaf early models (6.6KWHR charger)
-cooled and heated battery pack: should last a lot longer
-many were fairly loaded with leather and nav

As I write this, I see one for $6988 with 42,000 miles on it. Not much wears on an electric car but tires and brakes. This is nothing.
My Leaf has almost 90,000 and I've done nothing but tires and windshield wiper blades.
