Easy Fix for Atari 7800 Buttons Not Working

Disclaimer: don't blame me if you break it.

You'll need a phillips screwdriver, rubbing alcohol (highest percentage you can find...preferably denatured), q-tips, and a can of compressed air.

First, you'll need to open your Atari 7800. There are 5 (IIRC) screws on the bottom. Once you remove them all, turn it topside up and lift off the top.

Inside you'll see some buttons like this:

All you have to do is dip the q tip in the rubbing alcohol and saturate the black center part. You'll see some liquid in the white part.

Click it a few dozen times to clean it out. Use the compressed air to gently blow out the liquid and let it dry.

Test it before you reassemble it.

This fixed mine.
